Winch Gearboxes

The gearbox turns motor speed into the torque that moves the drum, so wear here usually makes itself known once the winch is under load. Rough operation and slipping drive can point toward gearbox trouble, although brake or motor faults can create similar symptoms.

We stock replacement assemblies and internal components for selected Warrior models, so you can repair the transmission without discarding a perfectly functioning drum and housing. Gear ratios and mounting points differ, so make sure you know the exact winch model you have before ordering. A correctly matched gearbox restores smooth drum movement and efficient power transfer, putting the motor’s effort back where it belongs.
