If you're using a winch once or twice a year, line speed probably isn't the first thing you'll notice. When you're carrying out repeated recoveries or using a winch throughout the working day, it's a different story. We have high speed winches with line speeds of 6 feet per minute and above, helping reduce the time spent paying out and rewinding the rope between pulls. They still need to be matched to the job and the loads you'll be handling, but for recovery operators and industrial users, a faster winch can make the working day that bit more efficient.
